I'm so shocked this was even here! It's a pub fused with a divey bar vibe. I came here a few days ago for lunch with some co workers and we had an excellent time. There is plenty of seating around, a few arcades for gaming, old-wooden booth seats, Stanford sports memorabilia everywhere, etc. This is totally a man's sports bar type scene. They serve everything mostly from burgers, dogs, appetizer bites, to beers. They also provide a condiment bar for your food which is a plus. I ordered their bacon cheeseburger which was decent. The toasted sesame buns are on point but I thought the meat patty itself was a bit too thin and didn't have that much juice nor did the bacon. The burger overall was still good tasting and receives about a B- in my book. I thought the fries were pretty good but I'm not a huge fan of shoestring fries; I prefer thicker cut cries with my burger. The fries were sort of bland with barely any salt but it didn't bother me much especially for the accommodating $7 basket price with a big portion. I thought their highly popular deviled eggs were delicious though! It's pricey for about $4 for 1 but I totally get it! The creme mix of the yolk was just delicious with hints of different spices and mustard. It's the best deviled eggs I've had up to date. I like this place a lot and I will definitely start coming here more often for my lunches!

Dutch Goose had been around since 1966 (!!) and is one of the few peanuts-on-the-floor restaurants left in Silicon Valley. They attract a wide ranging mix of guests: students, families, techies, and VCs. Food-wise, they are famous for their spicy deviled eggs - an unusual recipe that's "goopier" than normal. Legend has it that Atari launched the first videos game, Pong, at The Goose. The food is classic pub fair. Nothing is great, nothing is bad. The cheeseburger is pretty good, the steak burger is disappointing. The grilled cheese is pretty good, the pastrami is (not surprisingly) disappointing. You'd think the salads would be disappointing but they are surprisingly solid. Prices are reasonable, despite being in Menlo. Oh, and the name? The original owner named it after the bar in Kansas City, MO where he had his first beer. Three stars for the food, four stars for the sentimental old school vibe

Great pub grub at reasonable cost! Menlo Park gem! First time chowing here and must say the pub grub is good and there's something for everyone here. Casual environment, great for sitting with a friend, relaxed environment enjoying some good bar food. It's been here decades, and more decades to come! Burgers, hot diggities dawgs, sammies, salads, crazy spiced egg thingy, pizza and much more! Excellent service, nice peeps serving up grub to citizens in need of some munching. I ordered the BLAT, spicy deviled egg and wings served crispy with no sauce. Everything was great and good quality. However, die hard fans don't get mad at me...I do not like the spicy deviled eggs. I understand it's a menu icon and especially with area locals but my kind of deviled egg is formed not goopy. I love me a good deviled egg but not as they have made. Otherwise, I loved everything. Stop by when you're in the area! Cheers!
